New Service Centre at Burton, UK

 

Renold plc, a leading international supplier of industrial chains and related power transmission products, automotive cam drive systems and machine tools and rotors, today made the following announcement:


Renold plc invests in a new facility in Burton-upon-Trent in response to the changing demands of the market.

A new Conveyor Service Centre is to be established in Burton to provide a prompt and flexible service to existing and prospective customers worldwide.

The Service Centre will be the focus for Engineered Conveyor products for Europe and specific applications around the world.

This new Centre will provide a fast and flexible, market-driven service delivering specific requirements to Renold's customers.

Capabilities will include the custom design and adaptation of a comprehensive range of Engineered Conveyor chains. Components will be sourced from Group factories around the world.

A team of Specialist Application Engineers, at the Service Centre, will be supported by an enlarged Design & Engineering department at Renold's Bredbury, (Stockport) chain facility. The Bredbury site will manufacture Escalator and volume Engineered Conveyor chain products.

This initiative will enhance Renold's domestic market leadership and optimise international sales opportunities to ensure a sound on going business.

The Sales Company for the UK chain business will be based at the Service Centre.
